SWITS offers trainings to both interpreters and service providers who work with interpreters. Trainings for interpreters include "Bridging the Gap" and "Equal Footing." Trainings for providers cover topics such as how to work effectively with a medical interpreter and responsibilities of the service provider.

Medical / Community Interpreting Seminar
Equal footing is a two-day seminar for community and medical interpreters led by nationally recognized interpreter trainer, Saul Arteaga. This seminar focuses on the important concepts which are used while interpreting in medical and community settings.
The deadline for registration is approaching for the Equal Footing Seminar on October 26th, 2009.
Date: October 30th and 31st, 2009 - 8:30am to 4:30pm each day
